Girls probably do it because they might want to cool off from the fight or are waiting for an apology or they could even just be tired of fighting so they just give the cold shoulder to get their rage or anger out but not take it out on her BF!!!Or even want ATTENTION:) :) :)

Sometimes the girl is right and the guy will still argue so i guess silent treatment is for him to make sence and realise what he said was wrong. sometimes its vice versa where the girl will keep quiet and realise that th eguy is right. but girls will never own up to their wrong.

Maybe sometimes girls give the silent treatment because after a fight both are mad and need some time to cool off...and anyways if she maybe would say something. it could be something the guy really didn't want to hear, therefore the silent treatment is to give both time to think their problems through and when they have some time again. Talk it out like grown-ups not the childish way around....=)
