What are the most important things to take to Uni when staying in Res?

I have heard that a laptop comes in very handy. There are computers in res, but having your own laptop makes it much easier. You can watch shows, movies and do your projects. You will also need a flashdrive to go print your projects. An iPod may also make life easier. Apparently it gets very noisy in Res, so it may help to block it all out by listening to your own music. The rooms are very small, but I'm sure if you organise your room cleverly, all your stuff should fit in there. Just make sure you have lots of comfortable shoes, because you'll be walking a lot between classes. Being a girl, you might need to carry a small bottle of pepperspray in your handbag, maybe even a stungun.
