Position:  Fashion Editor

How I got here: I started out as an intern at another leading magazine and stayed on for 8 months. Seventeen magazine was looking for a fashion assistant and due to my experience and fashionable self, I got the position here. I basically started at the very bottom and after years of hard work and dedication, I now run the fashion department.

I love my job because... who wouldn't? It's creative in the sense that I can play dress up or style girls in things that I myself am too modest/boring to wear. I am surrounded by pretty clothes and shoes and the hardest decision of the day could be "which dress shall I put with that electric blue heel" (laughs) No not really. It's a fun environment.

The thing that drives me crazy is... there are so many that I cannot separate one from the other. In this position you have to be on top of your game all the time and as the saying goes "you eat, sleep, breathe fashion", it really is true. You don’t switch your brain off. Everything around you is an inspiration or something to make note of.

You'll love my job if you are... organised, cannot sit behind a desk all day, have a natural flair for the wonderful and ever-changing pace of fashion.
