Talking dance with Locnville
06 Jul 11
First up, Brian
Tsepang (18): What was your Matric dance like? Did you go to your Matric Dance?
Brian: I did go to my Matric Dance and I very heavily considered not going. I was never into school anything, let alone school dances. But I enjoyed it, I had a good time. I took a beautiful girl so it was all happy days.
Was she your girlfriend?
Brian: She was not my girlfriend, no. But she was a little bit more than a friend, but not a girlfriend.
Taryn (15): If you could change one thing about your dance night, what would it be?
Brian: One thing about that dance night? Erm, that the formal ceremony could have been shorter.
Aisha (16): So what kind of dress would your date be wearing?
Brian: Hmm… something, something nice. Not too loose, not too tight. Not like too short and not too long. [Laughs]
Wow! That is very specific.
Brian: [Laughs] But simple black dresses are always a winner.
Candice (17): What are your thoughts on girls asking guys to the dance?
Brian: I think that's cool. I think that not enough girls express their feelings.
So if a fan were to ask you to go to the dance with them, would you be up for it?
Brian: Well, I've been asked plenty of times. I mean, I’m always up for it. But unfortunately, it's very unrealistic. I never like have time.
Next up, Andrew:
Charné (18): What was your Matric Dance like?
Drew: It was fun. It's not really my thing, that whole kind of situation but the after party was fun.
Kerry (17): Where was the after party?
Drew: It was at a club somewhere in town. I forget the name of it.
So you went to high school in Cape Town?
Drew: Yes we did.
Monique (15): So, who did you take to the dance?
Drew: It was a girl named Erin.
Friend or girlfriend?
Drew: Well yes. She was kind of a friend-slash-girlfriend.
Nandipha (15): If you could change one thing about your dance night, what would it be?
Drew: Hmm.... to skip the actual Matric Dance and go straight to the after party. [Laughs]
