Earlier this month, four of our Seventeeners attended the Teen Entrepreneurship Conference in Cape Town where they were given a taste of the business world. The conference, that runs every school vac, is an opportunity for teens to learn more about starting their own business and giving them a competitive edge in the real world. The teens work in groups to come up with a business idea and at the end of the week they present a business plan to the judges. The best part is if your group comes first you can win part of R5000!

The speakers are all pros in the real world and pass on their tricks to the trade so the teens can adopt business savvy tools and get excited about their ideas and creating new things. Our girls Nashaa, Ruqaya, Yethu and Galia all agreed that the conference was super inspiring and they learnt some awesome inside info about the business world. Seventeen loves how motivated they all are!
