Though it comes with the territory, Selena Gomez has revealed that she still gets nervous when she steps onto the red carpet at premieres and events!  

In an interview with LOOK magazine (via contactmusic.com) Selena dished: "I am [a normal girl next door]. I can still walk down the street, so in that respect I'm quite lucky. But some things in my life don't come naturally, like walking the red carpet.

It's pretty scary! It's not that I'm not confident in myself, it's just that the red carpet is not somewhere I feel totally comfortable."

Selena also revealed how she struggles to cope on her own while on tour, saying: "It's hard, especially when I'm in a hotel room by myself, thousands of miles away from the people I love. Of course it's difficult. I miss all the people I love, my family and my friends, when I'm away from home. Thank goodness for Skype, I don't know what people did before it!"

Shame Selena, we'd also really struggle being away from our besties and our family!
