It's a sad day. The hottest vampire ever, Twilight's Edward, or Robert Pattinson in real life, has admitted to being "hopeless at courting" and believes that he is not as slick as his on-screen characters.

In a recent interview with Parade.com, he said: "When it comes to the opposite sex, I'm not as fully confident as the guy I play. I don't even remember the last time I asked someone out on a date. I'm much more self-conscious and not wanting to fail. So I tend to hold back."

As long as we get to see his romantic side, we're happy. Sigh…
