Position: Deputy Editor

How I got here: I studied a BA in English, Linguistics and Media & Writing. And then started my career by interning at a magazine. By working super hard, saying yes to any assignment that came my way and just loving what I do, I was kept on as a full-time writer and copy editor. It was a small company which gave me loads of room to grow. Now, not so long later, I work at the first magazine I truly loved.

I love my job because... I get to be a part of an amazing team, interact with the coolest readers around and get to do two things I adore – organise and write!

The thing that drives me crazy is... lateness! From stories coming in late, to people who arrive late for meetings; being punctual shows that you value the other person's time.

You'll love my job if you are... a bit of a control freak – there's a lot of organisation, keeping track of a million things and getting people to do things on top of writing and editing. So you also have to be a control freak with your own time management as well to make it all work!
