Position: Digital editor for www.seventeen.co.za

How I got here: I knew I wanted to work in media and I knew I loved to write, but that was about all I knew after I graduated with a BA degree in film, media and visual studies. I tried my hand at TV and realised it wasn't for me so I took a one-year break to study a post-graduate diploma in journalism and media studies. I then tested the waters in magazines and newspapers. Each opportunity gave me more experience and helped me decide which step to take next. When the opportunity came up to work for the best brand ever (seventeen) you can understand why I jumped at the opportunity!

I love my job because... anything is possible. I love that our team can come up with an idea and soon it can become a reality. It also helps that seventeen has the BEST readers ever – seventeeners always let us know when they love what we've created and it's great getting that kind of feedback.

The thing that drives me crazy is... I like to look for solutions rather than point out problems. However, it is tricky when the internet is down or when we are struggling to upload our content. But you learn to roll with the punches and make back-up plans.
