Q:I think I have Restless Leg Syndrome. I get it really bad in both my legs and sometimes even in my arms. Do you know what the cause is? Should I go to the doctor about it or just let it be?
Restless Leg Syndrome has been described as "an urge to move, usually because of uncomfortable sensations (creepy, antsy, itchy, electrical – it’s difficult to find the right words!) that are felt usually in the legs, but sometimes also in the arms". For the most part, it is just annoying. The cause is not well understood – there is still some debate in medical circles about what it may be. In some cases, Restless Leg Syndrome is associated with a medical condition, most notably iron deficiency. It would be worthwhile to talk to your doctor about it. He or she may want to run a few tests to make sure that it is not perhaps pointing to something else.
